A new expression is evolving. It is one of great strength and beauty. Powerful spiritual ideas now caress the hearts and minds of people all over the world, exposing and celebrating the magnificent spirit within. This is our moment.
It appears the task given this generation is to muster enough spiritual stamina to stand amidst the fearful images flickering in our world today and claim a higher order for ourselves.
As we pull our gaze away from fear-based images, and place our attention on the spirit of love within, we own our greatness. The old belief structure once dominated by fear can now be dissolved and replaced with the light of love, if we so choose.
A Course in Miracles states that each of us receives a healthy dose of opportunities to answer the question, “Will I live this moment from a place of fear or love?” If we want to build spiritual muscles, we must represent love while in the midst of fear. Love’s light can be summoned from behind fear’s veil of darkness anywhere, anytime, and with anyone.
Our interactions with people, the thoughts we hold about others and ourselves, and the words we choose to speak are wonderful avenues for increasing the light. We can be generous with our time, talents or money even in the face of apparent scarcity. I have found that nothing turns the illusion of insufficiency into abundance quicker than an attitude of gracious giving and gratefulness.
Consider how these simple ideas might decorate your life with an uncommon beauty:
Speak Beauty–Filled Words
Let the first words you say to your spouse, friend, co-workers, children or boss be something kind or loving. Focus on what is positive in them and in your life. Find the greatness within them and speak to that loveliness. Do this for a minimum of forty days and notice how your world changes.
Observe the Beauty in Your Life
So much natural beauty surrounds us, and as we place our attention on it, the splendor in our life grows. Listen to the birds sing while walking to your car, or observe the butterfly dancing along the flower tops. Watch the brilliant sunrise on your drive to work or catch a glimpse of the sun’s surrender to the moon. All these simple pleasures align us with our grandness and seats it center stage.

The majesty needed to change this old world exists within you. Let us welcome the light together and allow beauty to engulf the world. Choose the unseen possibilities, which are above the images of this physical world. Greatness arrives at the slightest invitation because love is always stronger than fear.
