Heroes

what do we see when we look in the mirror
do we notice that we are just a broken toy
missing pieces of ourselves?
what do we feel when we look to our heroes
and realize they are no more whole than we are?
it is the time to take a deep breath,
gather the pieces in our possession
assembling our whole, our soul
as best we can
to the highest that we can be
becoming our own heroes
becoming what we were meant to be
knowing tomorrow it will begin again
a new day
a new way
to create ourselves
