Soul Sailing Your Way to Perfect Love

There is one thing we all have in common. Each of us wants to be loved. From the moment of our birth, we instinctively reach out to touch another, to be intimately connected with a partner. So we search for love, setting out on a quest to find the one, confident that our soul mate exists. We’re certain there is someone tailor-made just for us. We only need to find him or her; our perfect partner awaits.

Have you ever considered that there might not be one perfect partner? Is it possible that you could experience profound love with many people? How about with everyone? That is the premise of this writing - that there are no perfect partners, only Perfect Love.

To experience the Perfect Love of which we speak requires a shift in perception: to see yourself and those around you in a new way. To live in the world as your “Spirit self”, a being sourced and rooted in the Divine, then to relate to others as their Spirit selves as well. Perfect Love is absolutely possible when you choose to love another as the spiritual being they are instead of the human being you’ve perceived them to be.

This shift in perception might sound easy, and it can be. Changing our thoughts is a very simple thing. But putting new ideas into practice? Ah...there’s the challenge. How do we really live in the world and love one another as our Spirit selves? To do so necessitates shifting gears and tapping into the blueprint of what it means to be a spiritual being. This blueprint is latent within us. It contains the method and vocabulary that leads us toward peace-filled, compassionate living. Contrary to what you may have heard, you do not need to be a yogi or saint to access this blueprint. Every single human being can uncover it and experience dramatic lifestyle changes including daily experiences of inner peace, happiness, abundance... And, yes, Perfect Love.

Unfortunately, up until now, we have been living according to a different blueprint, one we were also born with - the Ego Operating System - and it has caused us much pain and misery. It has separated us from our Spirit selves and from each another. The broadcast it sends proclaims messages of self-protection, judgment, lack... It tells us we need to perfect ourselves, work harder at our relationships and fix our broken selves to know real love. These broadcasts keep us on a roller coaster of wild emotions, unable to experience the peace and love we naturally are and can be with one another.

To know Perfect Love now, we must consciously choose which blueprint we are going to follow - the Spirit-led one or the ego-driven one. We are at a point in our evolution, an evolution of consciousness, where we can literally choose what to listen to, what to say and how to conduct ourselves in the world - as our Spirit selves or as our ego selves. We can choose the old way or a new way. It is a truth whose time has come and our sense is, if you are still reading these passages, you know this to be a truth for you as well. Like never before, we have the power of choice. We can choose to give and receive love “unconditionally” - to love without conditions - to love without the ego. Yes, it really is possible!

It begins with learning how to identify if you are operating as your Spirit self or through your ego self at any given moment in time and then choosing to think and relate to others accordingly.
