The Birthing of a Soul
by Linda Hasley
So what does it mean to birth a soul? We have all read about it in books and heard about it in spiritual circles, but what does it really mean? I believe it means something very different for each of us, and it is the single purpose for which we are put here on this earth. It is said that we are all moving toward a higher soul vibration. In order for us to reach our highest vibration, each of us has his or her own spiritual path to take and our very own unique map to get there. We will all have to walk through our own fire, but the one thing we have in common is that each one of us will have to birth our souls to complete the journey.
As we are all heavenly beings, our actual physical birth is thought to be the initial soul separation from God. Once we are born into this world, we begin the life-long journey of finding our way back to Spirit through a series of births involving that of the soul. These births can bring forth the shedding of old patterns, negative thoughts, judgments and fears that weigh heavy on the soul. Seeing your human experience in this way can bring a continual sense of renewal and a chance to live your life in its purest form.
Of course, just like a physical birth, spiritual birthing of the soul can be messy, painful and it surely doesn’t always go as planned. Sometimes we get stuck and can’t figure out how to move forward. Sometimes we have a false sense of movement only to end up back at the beginning. And sometimes we need a little intervention to give us the push we need to complete our transformation. But with fierce determination and loving support we can all achieve miracles. Ask any mother who has given birth and chances are she will say it was the hardest thing she has ever done, but it was worth every minute of it to hold her newborn baby in her arms. To live this life with our souls open and continuously birthing is a true gift that only God can give. So Happy Birthing to you all…….....and many more!
I can see You standing there
on the other side of this veil,
shimmering bright light
illuminating your presence.
This paper-thin partition
that keeps me from You
is starting to wear thin.
For years now,
I have relentlessly picked
away at its frayed edges.
Slowly peeling off
layer after layer,
hoping to catch a
better glimpse of You.
I pray that You will wait for me.
Wait for the glorious moment when
I break through that very last layer
and the gate finally swings free.
Running towards you,
all darkness will fall away,
so that I too, may
join You in the light.
