Flaxnet 2004--
Dum De Dum Dum

It was a sultry summer afternoon and the heat brought on beads of sweat to my aching muscles and joints. I busted three thieves, a money launderer and two doctors that caused serious harm to unsuspecting patients—all this week. In fact, in my years as a detective I have not seen many good things come out of modern medicine, yet many of my clients have cured themselves of many ailments with organic foods, herbs and supplements. In fact a dame came in today and told me I should try flax seeds for my aching joints.

Well here I am, Saturday, on one of my few moments off standing in a health food store not knowing what is in store for me. Wearing my overcoat, badge and top hat I carefully approached the counter and asked the pretty dame for a bag of flax seeds. Well to make a long story short she went on and on about the benefits of flax seeds. I grew impatient in the musky smelling herb shop and I gently grabbed the dame by her long delicate arm, looked her in the eye and said, JUST GET ME THE FLAX MA’AM. Just the Flax Ma’am. She grabbed a bag of sprouted flax seeds and sent me on my way.

Needless to say in two weeks taking a tablespoon of these sprouted seeds in my cold morning coffee produced nothing short of a miracle with my arthritis. I felt so great that I was whistling happy tunes and taking on more cases than ever. But being a detective by nature, I was intrigued to read about the benefits of sprouted flax seeds. Sure regular flax seeds and oil are good, but my bloodhound investigation helped me uncover why sprouted flax seeds are one of nature’s most perfect foods and a literal savior for a broken down detective that now feels ten years younger. I will always be grateful to the dame who set me up with the flax that my desperate case really needed.

Many health sleuths know that flax seeds are good for memory and brain function, a healthy heart, lowering cholesterol (31%) and triglycerides (66%), healthy joints, healthy hair skin and nails, weight loss, digestion, proper hormonal functioning, regularity, anti-cancer and anti-tumor, ADD/ADHD, healthy eyes, healthy liver functioning, healthy lungs and blood sugar balancing and correction. But there is certain evidence that escapes even rabid health addicts. First, flax seeds and flax meal may be inexpensive, but they contain several enzyme inhibitors and inferior nutrition when compared to sprouted flax seeds. Additionally, flax seed oil and flax meal are incredibly unstable and become rancid due to their polyunsaturated nature.

But here is where the plot thickens. Sprouted Flax seeds have 14% more cancer fighting lignans, 31% more omega 3 fatty acids (by the way flax sprouts are far superior to stinky fish oils that may be contaminated with heavy metals—also fish oils have NO cancer fighting lignans), 9960% more vitamin E, and much more beta carotene, B-vitamins and enzymes that other flax products do not have. Flax sprouts are also very high in choline, lecithin and other brain enhancing nutrients and best of all flax sprouts have been shown to be stable for up to four years and very resistant to oxygen . Even though I love my flax sprouts mixed with my morning coffee, I hear they are delicious in cooled off hot cereals, regular cereal, smoothies, protein drinks, juices, salads and just about anything—heck they taste great right out of the bag---So I encourage all of you to do your own investigation, start eating flax sprouts, organic foods, superfoods (like spirulina, chlorella, bee pollen, goji berries, brewers yeast, Klamath lake algae, etc.), more fruits, veggies, raw foods, purified and energized water, exercise and deep breathing.
Well that would be more than I do but that beautiful dame at the corner health food store told me those things would be good. But I told her, “By the inch it’s a cinch, by the yard its hard---give me some time.”
And she did and we are dating now. What a gal! Turns out she was my age all along and has a great nose for fighting crime. She looked younger because of all the healthy things she did. Now we make a great crime fighting team and in our spare time we teach others how to live a super healthy and happy life.
Happy Ending—The End
