The Ring of Purpose:
What the Iris of the Eye can Reveal

By Donna R. Walton

The Rayid Method of Iris Interpretation

To understand the Ring of Purpose, I will attempt to briefly summarize the essence of Rayid philosophy. Rayid interpretation of the Iris began in 1978 with over 20,000 case studies from 1978 to 1994. It is not based on systems in psychology nor is it identified as having roots in Iridology. In the Rayid method of interpretation, the iris is viewed from the mental/emotional aspects with what I like to view as an existential perception of our spiritual nature. It is the genetic encoding which reveals characteristics of behavior and personality inherent within the individual. As we understand that we consciously act on unconscious belief, we then hold the key to making change to live toward our unlimited potential. Generation to generation, we carry within our cellular memory, who we are and what we become in our lifetime and we are always creating and encoding forward to the next generation. Rayid identifies our strengths, our yet to be developed potential and I believe, in the big picture, assists in our spiritual awakening. This, I believe is the philosophy of Rayid; to use the iris encodings to grow our strengths and our potential, leading us to define our true nature in God.

The Ring of Purpose

The representation of the Ring of Purpose is the dark color or blue at the periphery of the iris. The nerve fibers of the eye have receded to readily view the band of dark color. This area represents physical manifestation of effort. These individuals have diligence, commitment and steadfastness and are said to be capable of anything. They are often multi talented but can be procrastinators, allowing themselves to stagnate or become stuck by indecisiveness while waiting for divine intervention; a sign toward the right direction to place their efforts. The key Rayid personality trait in the Ring of Purpose is the sense of feeling specially chosen or assigned a mission to fulfill. These individuals are fun, appreciative. When they are extended kindness, are eternally grateful and feel blessed. They can make profound change in the world, with their diligence and commitment, experiencing the enormity of all that life offers as blessed with special purpose.

To grow to potential with a ring of purpose, it would be important to maintain balance in one’s life by being centered; yoga and meditation would be helpful. This centeredness of spirit will allow you to be alert and steadfast in your journey; making commitment and following through with assuredness of decision. Remember, we have free will; we are never “stuck” with what “seems” to be, whether it be in the physical, the way that we think or within our inherited encoding. We always have free will to make change. Doing the same things reaps the same results. Choose freely now to move forward and defy your physical circumstances. When we do it for ourselves, we are one step closer to helping another on the path and therefore one step closer to home. All you fellow rings of purpose - when you feel the grip of stagnation, free yourself, seek a supportive friend, counselor, life coach or mentor and move forward to your mission. Let’s all get there together. Blessings and Namaste.
